She studied at St. Aidans Anglican Girls School in Brisbane before moving to Melbourne for three years, to study full time ballet at The National Theatre Ballet School.
In 1994 when Amy had finished studing she moved to Leipzig, Germany and got her first job as a professional ballerina with the Leipziger Ballett under the director Uwe Scholz. She stayed with the Leipziger Ballett for six years and then moved to the Hannover Ballett Company in Hannover, Germany.
Then in 2004, after two very busy and exciting years in London Amy and her husband moved back to Munich, Germany to start a family and she is now the mother of two very beautiful daughters.
After a move to Düsseldorf in 2007, Amy decided she wanted to work in a different profession and started to work as a English native speaker with the Kaiserswerther Diakonie Kindergarten, Düsseldorf. She had two wonderful years teaching the children English and has now decided to take it one step further and will offer English lessons, with a native speaker, to all children in the Düsseldorf and Ratingen area.
Amy will now also offer private, family and group lessons as well as a Conversation cafe, which is open to anyone who just wants to talk in English.
